Kickstart My Art | Photographer snaps the supernatural in Focus

Like a burned-out version of Peter Parker or Jimmy Olsen, Focus' lead character Lee Mullen is a graying, overweight newspaper photographer who's run down by his job. And just as he's reaching the end of his rope, he discovers that his photographs are catching glimpses of supernatural creatures ' and he can intervene. Recruited by a clandestine group known as Focus, Mullen becomes the unlikely guide that pinpoints outbreaks of demons, ghouls and who knows what else and tries to find the deeper reason for their emergence.

Based on a concept by Erik Wahlstrom, writer Zach Hunter and artist Matt Brownson are bringing Focus into the light and are aiming to use Kickstarter to help get them there. If they reach their $4,500 goal, the creators will use the funds get the book professionally lettered and go about printing a run of the comic itself. As of Friday June 8th they've accumulated only a fraction of their intended goal, but have 38 days to make up the difference.
